Fashion are simply the clothes you wear, style is how you wear them. Today I want to talk about a stylish young girl. The picture above is of Stephanie Bader. She was a 13 year old girl who had a special friend named Maddie. Maddie’s huge heart and Steph’s spirit is what will forever keep them fabulous. Maddie has decided to chop off her beautiful long locks in order to donate them in honor of her friend. Cancer effects so many lives and it is people like this that helps the world smile.
{MEET MADDIE & STEPH}
I sat down with Maddie from start to finish. It was exciting to be a part of such an amazing act of charity. While she was preparing for her big haircut, I got to talk with her about Steph. Steph was one of Maddie’s friends and a classmate. Steph had brain cancer which eventually spread and greatly effected her movements and even speech. She was such a vibrant person and always had a smile on her face. She sadly lost her battle with cancer this past year.
Maddie told me that she just had a birthday party with another friend and instead of getting presents, she asked that everyone bring a donation for Steph’s family. She knew that even though Steph was gone, her parents still had medical bills to pay. Maddie was able to raise over $600! This girl is seriously awesome. At 13 I wanted a cell phone, and don’t think I would have been able to ask for money instead of presents. On top of her money-raising birthday party, Maddie also was able to raise $1000 for Steph at a dance-a-thon. I never met Steph but I can tell that she touched so many lives.
Steph was obviously fabulous and cancer didn’t hold her back. While Maddie was sitting in the chair saying things like, “now I look like a mom!”, you could tell that Steph’s spirit was with her.

{HAIR TIPS}
If you want to be brave and rock a super cute short hair cut or you already have short hair, here are some awesome ways I have found to both wear your hair as well as some cute accessories. Hair, like makeup can really make or break an outfit. When doing something drastic to your hair, it can be a little hard at first to decide how to style it.
The half-knot
Pretty much any hair length can achieve a tiny little bun. It is a quick and chic way to get your hair off your face on a hot day.
The twist
This again is super simple, all you do is take a front section of your hair, twist it and bobby pin it back!
Accessorize it
With short hair it is super simple to add cute hair accessories. It is an easy way to add a pop of color or simply complete a look.
