Hi Loves and Happy (almost) Thanksgiving!
I absolutely love Thanksgiving from the decor to the super cute outfits and of course the amazing food to crazy family.
This year I thought it would be fun to show three different outfits for three different types of Thanksgivings.
The Dressy Look
Some families love to go all out and make things super fancy. I am talking crystal glasses, fine china, and multiple courses. For those occasions that call for something a little nicer, a dress or skirt is always a safe way to go! For my fancier outfit I went with a burgundy color palette. When dressing in one color, the key is to mix pieces that either have a different tone, texture, or pattern. My whole outfit (minus the shoes) are from Ann Taylor! The only problem with this outfit, you can’t stuff yourself to capacity with turkey and stuffing.
The Dressy Casual Look
This outfit is this best of both worlds! The patterned pants and cropped jacket help elevate a simple sweater. To make a dressier look a little more comfy, find high-waisted that have a little give. When eating a delicious feast your food baby will thank you for making your chic look practical. For a pop of color I added this amazing mustard colored jacket and finished it off with a pair of suede black booties.
The Comfy Look
I love to dress up most days but this is probably my favorite look! A graphic tee and some simple joggers, you will be able to eat, drink and enjoy your family in comfort. This long-sleeve shirt is actually a DIY project! All I did was head to Wal Mart to get a shirt and paint, then I printed out the word I wanted. To make the stencil I traced the word on freezer paper, cut out the word, taped it into place, and grabbed some acrylic paint. Ta-da! Enjoy your dinner with a customized graphic shirt.
