Hello my beauties!
Break out your red, white, and blue to celebrate in proper birthday party fashion!
I wanted to give you a couple outfit ideas depending on your weekend plans that can be created from things most likely already in your closet. I also have a special guest, my not so little brother!
FOR A PICNIC!
For the girls: depending on your preference, I love to wear shorts on a causal day. However if shorts aren’t your thing, switch them out for a pair of jeans or flowy trousers. With any option you feel comfortable in, there is an easy way to style the classic base. The added bonus of wearing shorts besides being cool is the you can show off your killer gams.
For my outfit I chose to keep it casual by throwing on a graphic patriotic tee. Accessorized with traditional white Converses, this is a super cute and fashionable outfit that is so effortless.
For the boys: Guys always seem to have an easy time no matter where they go. So to add some interest, I styled my brother in salmon shade of red instead of the traditional bright red. This adds some sophistication to any shirt whether it is a plain white tee or a soft blue polo. To finish off the look wear your best sneakers or boat shoes rather then grabbing flip-flops.
FOR SOMETHING A BIT FANCY!
While a lot of people may be by the water or at a backyard barbeque, others may have to attend something a bit fancier. These two looks are great for a casual wedding or Sunday brunch.
- a skirt or structured dress is the way to go! My wrap style skirt from the Loft is so comfortable but is still appropriate for a variety of events. To keep it summery I paired a white polo with the skirt but any blouse will do! Something off-the-shoulder would look AMAZING! I grabbed a pair of nude wedges because, hello, grass! If wedges or even heels aren’t your thing wear a simple pair of flats or some nicer gladiator sandals.
- Again, the guys have it so much easier. I just switched out the shorts for a khaki pair and changed the polo out for a red, white, and blue button down.
Have a great holiday weekend if you live in the States and as always stay you!
Stay Chic Beauties,
XO
