Today I want to write (talk) about something a little bit different than the standard outfits and fashion advice. I want to talk about those days when you look longingly in your closet and see nothing. That sense of, “OMG I have no clothes,” is honestly a consistent struggle for me. A lot of this feeling can arise from online shopping and having a newsfeed on fashion inspiration, without having an endless budget. If there was such a thing as an infinite closet, I would be such a happy girl!
The best solution I have found to this problem is to stop staring. Stop thinking. Stop looking at outfit ideas. Hit the refresh button, clear your mind, and try to look at your closet from a new perspective. Sometimes the day just calls for jeans and t-shirt (or a blank slate kind of day).
I am the type of person that gets bored very easily. If painting your nails wasn’t such a process I would probably have a new color every other day and if hair didn’t take so long to grow back, my hair would constantly be a different length (and color). I see change as exciting and inspirational, so on those days where I feel so limited to my selection of clothes, I kind of get in a fashion rut. In order to help give both myself and all of my other beauties out there feeling the struggle a little but of inspiration after my outfit cleanse, I put together some ideas.
